Windows 10: Win11 doesn't detect my P3 headset's microphone.

I have already tried to reinstall the drivers, it doesn't even appear in the devices list and my headset appears as a headphone without mic. Realtek Audio Console cannot be installed error 0x803FB005.

I want to use the microphone attached to the headset as I just bought the headset but my laptop is still using the built-in mic and the headset mic is not detected.

I recently bought a new headset with a microphone and I can hear audio through the headset but
my mic is not detected and it is still using my default Realtek computer microphone.

I've tried looking for hidden microphones but there are none.
I've re-installed my Realtek HD Audio driver.

But nothing seems to work.

What should I do to fix this?

So your headset has a P3 connector. This connector combines the audio from the headphone and microphone.

From the motherboard specs, it only has separate P2 jack ports for the headphone and the microphone. There are also separate ports on the front panel of the case, correct?

Therefore, you will need to use a "1x P3 Female to 2x P2 Male adapter" to use this headset on your PC.

With this adapter, the signal will be separated into two P2 connectors. One for the headphone and one for the microphone.

The reason the headset microphone works on your laptop is probably because laptops usually have a Combo Jack port. This port is compatible with your headset's P3 connector. Therefore, there is no need to use an adapter on your laptop. The same for smartphones.
