    Win11 laptop can't find bluetooth headset


    Suddenly my laptop can't find my bluetooth headset which I have been using with the same laptop for ages. I can connect to it with my Android phone without any problems, but Windows just says "Connecting... Not connected." I have tried removing the device, but now it doesn't even show up in the device list. My system has the latest updated installed 24H2, KB5051987. Any ideas how to fix this?

    Bluetooth no longer recognizing my headset

    Hi, I'm using Version 19045.3930 I have been using my Bluetooth every day for ages on my laptop. But yesterday I disconnected it, as I needed my laptop speakers. (I now know I should have just turned off the headset to achieve this), and they wouldn't reconnect to the laptop later. So I followed the advice in several YouTube videos that told me to change all Bluetooth items from Manual to Automatic in Services.

    I did that, and all Bluetooth items listed are now set to Automatic. And I restarted as advised. There was an update so I let that happen... Still to no avail. I then searched this forum and found that I should also make sure all Bluetooth drivers are up to date. And my laptop told me they already were up to date. What else can I try please? Thank you

    • Confirm which build is currently installed on your device. To check, follow the steps below:
    • Press Windows key + R, then type in winver.
    • Click OK.
    • What is the make and model of your headset and Bluetooth dongle?
