Windows 10: Win11 MS account login stuck in loop - can't create PIN

So, this is a little complicated but I'll try to be concise.I recently installed new hardware, and reinstalled Windows 10. I then upgraded to Windows 11 via the upgrade/install tool. My PC is compatible, the windows tool confirmed it.When installing win10/11, I didn't log into a MS account. I used a local login. I also didn't enable PIN login or MS Hello or anything. But then I installed MS word and I had to login to my MS account for that, and I think once I logged in for that it linked my local account with that MS account, meaning when I next logged in I'd probably have to login with my M

I suggest you to create a PIN for your device and try the on screen keyboard to login to the same.

You may follow the steps below to create PIN protection for your device.

• 
  Go to Settings and select account.
  
• 
  Click on sign in option and Go to PIN option.
  
• 
  Now click on Add and set PIN for login.
  

You can use the same PIN to login to your device using the on screen Keyboard from ease of access option and verify the result.

Can't create pin for login. Pin stopped working

Hi Kevin,

To resolve your concern about creating pin to your computer, we suggest that you follow these steps:

• Navigate to C:\Windows\ServiceProfiles\LocalService\AppData\Local\Microsoft\NGC (click to get permission when prompted).
• Delete the contents of that folder (delete everything in that folder, but leave that folder and everything above it).
• Go back to settings, accounts, sign in options.
• Your non-working pin will now be gone, and you can just click 'add a pin' and set it again.
