Windows 10: Win11: On switching Desktop, the personalization of the background resets to default

If I have Slide Show enabled and move to the next background Ctrl, Win, Left/Right or manually, the background resets to "Picture" instead of "Slide Show". Can I prevent this from happening, somehow?Kind regards, Christian

I suggest you to try the steps below and check if it helps.

• Press Windows Logo Key + I. Then click on Personalization.
• Click on Background to change it.

I want to get the default images back for lock screen and desktop

Hi Ryan,

To change the lockscreen and desktop background to default, follow the steps provided below and check for status.

• Navigate to Start>Settings>Personalization.
• In the left navigation pane, click on Background.
• In the right pane, click on the drop down list under Background
  and select Picture.
• Choose the default picture displayed below the drop down list.
• Follow the same steps to change the lockscreen image as well.

Win11 Multiple Desktops Backgrounds

How can I set Win11's multiple desktops to different backgrounds?
