Windows 10: WIN11 Pin setup without internet access, deleted Ngr folder but stuck in Sign In screen.

Hi, I have a dual boot Win11, both installed on one Nvme drive. After installing latest 22H2 update on both Win11 versions my PIN had to be set again. Unfortunately one of those I disabled internet to keep it "clean" which resulted in being stuck. You need internet access to set PIN and there was no way to get passed this screen.So, I went to Advanced startup and deleted the Ngr folder using command prompt not knowing I would be stuck again trying to sign in. I still cannot get into windows.. How do I solve this?Thanks in advance!

Trouble deleting a folder

Thanks for the suggestion but it says "delete folder failed for E:\....." for each folder I try.

Will I be forever stuck with these unnecessary folders? *Oh Well hwell:

1. Could you please provide us with a full screenshot of the page for our reference? Please click on Use rich formatting to insert a screenshot and select the Insert Image icon.

2. Are you setting up the Windows Hello PIN during the operating system setup, or on the Windows desktop screen after signed in to Windows?

If you signed in to Windows, are you having trouble setting up Windows Hello PIN by going into settings > Accounts > Sign in options > Windows Hello PIN > Click Add to setup a new PIN.

Pinning User Folder to Quick Access pins wrong folder

Do not worry we will help you with this issue.

I suggest you to sign out from the current user account, restart the computer, sign-in and check with the status of this issue. As this might be a temporary issue.

I suggest you to install all the pending updates on your device and check if it helps.

Steps:

• Connect to the internet.
• Press Windows key and type updates.
• Click on Check for updates.
• Under Windows Updates, click on Check for updates.
• Try to install the updates being shown.
