Win11 RDP working on one account but not the other - credentials did not work

I have two user accounts both MS Live login accounts. But even though locally i can use both accounts only of the accounts accepts the credentials remotely.I Keep getting credentials did not work on the problematic one.Even though they are correctChecked firewall, checked rdp permissions checked credential manager checked policies.Pretty much none of it resolves this issue.Does anybody know what else to check? Thanks

Whi is Windows credentials not working in RDP.

Windows credentials not working in RDP. I have Net Extender on home new desktop PC, Windows Pro 11 I get to the point where I enter the name of my work PC on the RDP and click Connect. Then, the prompt comes on, Sign in w/ your Microsoft Account etc, I have confirmed my pw, and it fails. I have a laptop that I have no problem connecting to my work PC so it isn't the RDP or the Net Extender. I have tried all the suggestions on U Tube, Microsoft Community, etc and still won't let me connect. I do not have to use my Microsoft Account when using my laptop... not sure why Microsoft has to make this so difficult. .probably going to have to get a Computer Guru to help me for a fee....

***moved from Windows / Windows 11 / Settings***

    RDP connection win10 -> win11

    Hello,

I am trying to connect from one laptop (win10) to another one (win11) in the same wi-fi, over RDP, but I'm keep getting the "Your credentials did not work" message.

    1. I enabled Remote Desktop connection on my target laptop (the one with win 11) and allowed remote connection in the Firewall settings.

    2. For the RDP configuration, I entered the IP address of the target laptop and for the username I used the value that I got in cmd, "whoami" command. For the password I entered the one which I use on login screen.

I already tried everything that I found on the internet, and it does not work.

The funny thing is that when I try in opposite direction, RDP from laptop (win11) to laptop (win10), I manage to login over RDP, but in the direction that I need it is not working (although I follow all the same steps).

Do you have any idea what I can do more, because I am frustrated ?!

    Thank you in advance.

Win11 RDP working on one account but not the other - credentials did not work

RDP to non-admin account not working

I can RDP to an account that is an admin account but not to a non-admin account.
I have read to check the users and make sure the appropriate accounts have been added to the user list but the option to view or edit the user list is missing from my settings window:

Win11 RDP working on one account but not the other - credentials did not work 83392d1485967785t-rdp-non-admin-account-not-working-untitled.jpg

    [Advanced Button:]

Win11 RDP working on one account but not the other - credentials did not work 83393d1485967785t-rdp-non-admin-account-not-working-untitled.jpg

is there something I can check/change in the reg editor or in group policies or something to make this appear or perhaps just to enable it directly for that account?
For reference this appears the same if I'm logged in as admin or as non-admin. (have to give admin privileges anyway to see this window in the first place)
Thanks to anyone who can help
