Windows 10: Win11 SearchIndexer Srvc keeps crashing w/ Exception code: 0xc0000374

Restarting the Srvc, it dies in about 2 seconds. The troubleshooter doesn't fix the problem. Puzzling Crash - Exception code: 0xc0000374

Hi.

I'm having an odd crash that I am having trouble with. I spend a bit of time on Second Life now and then (yeah, yeah, I know lol) using the Firestorm viewer and usually I have no problems. However, when I go to a club or location with lots of avatars in it, I will suddenly be dropped directly to desktop after a little while with no error message window or any other ceremony. Firestorm just stops dead.

I looked in Event Viewer and found that something is happening and I'm getting an exception code: 0xc0000374, which is a heap problem. Also, the last time it crashed I got a number of MSSQL Server errors just prior to the crash:





I use SQL server for development, but I shut the server down and went back to the same location in Second Life. Sure enough, I crashed shortly after arriving with the same error code. I have Googled the error and come up dry, I have also checked with the people who make Firestorm, without success. All they can tell me is that it is a heap problem.

I am wondering if my graphics card might be causing the issue (lack of RAM -> 3 GB only)?

Does anyone here have any idea on how to troubleshoot this issue? All of my drivers and updates are up to date, and I turned off my AV and it still happens. Note that it doesn't happen when there are fewer than 40 avatars in the same location. I guess I can avoid going to the big places, but the music is good, you know? lol

Puzzling Crash - Exception code: 0xc0000374

Not sure on the errors, but if you think its the video card only having 3gb ram, try changing video settings like texture detail or similar. This will lower the vram used. The hard part will be testing as you will need a location with a little over 40 avatars. Example, lower settings and if you can be near 50 avatars without a crash, you know its vram related (vram = video ram).
