Windows 10: Win11 Update 22H2 Error 0x8007001f

Been trying to install the 22H2 update for Win11, but was unable to succeed. Windows Update gave me 0x8007001f error. I tried dism, sfc and windows update troubleshooter and nothing seems to work out. The main problem comes at when i restart my notebook, and windows is trying to update and when it reaches 77% it just get stuck for sometime and then it just reboot and goes into windows right after that.i also did a removal on the softwaredistribution folder under windows. Still not working.

Every time when I try to update Windows from Win11 21H21 to Win11 22H2, it never succeeds. When I check Event Viewer, I get the logs below:

- Commit Failure: Windows failed to commit the following update with error 0x800700B7: Windows 11, version 22H2

- Installation Failure: Windows failed to install the following update with error 0x80242016: Windows 11, version 22H2.

"



My laptop is a Lenovo IdeaPad 5i.



I've already tried the steps below, but I'm still getting the same error:



# I Used Windows update troubleshooter to check the issue



# I Ran the following commands:

net stop wuauserv

net stop cryptSvc

net stop bits

net stop msiserver

ren C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution SoftwareDistribution.old

ren C:\Windows\System32\catroot2 Catroot2.old

net start wuauserv

net start cryptSvc

net start bits

dism /online /cleanup-image /scanhealth

dism /online /cleanup-image /checkhealth

dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth

# I Unplugged USB peripherals and retried the installation process



# I Disable built-in Firewall



# I Disabled all non-Microsoft services found in msconfig.exe



# I Disabled all services in the startup tab in "Task Manager"



# I Downloaded standalone package manually and tried to install Win11 22H2 using ISO Image

 

I can not update to windows creators (error code 0x8007001f)

Based on the logs you've provided, it seems that one of the possible cause why you cannot install Windows 10 Creators Update is your antivirus. In the meantime, we suggest disabling your antivirus, then try to install the update again.

Not able to update to Win11, version 22H2, error 0x8007001f

Hi there,

I'm currently on Windows 11 Version 21H2 (OS Build 22000.1098)





Windows update shows that the 22H2 version is available, however, when the download and install is done, and the system is restarted, it jumps straight to 63% if I'm not wrong, and boots. No update is applied, then it shows error 0x8007001f as in the picture:





I've tried updating 3 times, but the problems persist.

I've searched for the error, and based on the results, I've tried the following things so far:

• Deleting everything in the directory C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download
  
• Disabling and re-enabling windows update from services and restarting the service with point 1 done.
  
• Disabling Windows defender realtime protection, etc (I don't have any other antivirus installed).
  
• Running sfc /SCANNOW (everything fine, no corrupted files).
  
• Running DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-Image /Restorehealth (everything fine, no corrupted files).
  

None of the above worked.

How to fix this?
