Windows 10: Win11 Update Error "Operation failed: Update Boot Code. Error: 0x80004005[gle=0x000000b7]"

I have been trying to update from Windows 11 Home version 21H2 to version 22H2 for some time without success. An in-place upgrade from a win11_22H2.iso gets as far as 'Your PC will restart in a few moments' then it fails also with 'Windows 11 installation has failed'.I have worked through all suggestions that I can find on this site without any change or success. As the problem seems to be a failure to update the boot code, my last attempt at a solution was to replace the BCD, which made no difference at all. I really do not want to do a clean install as this is a very mature system.Here is th

I have some desktop PCs that I am unable to get windows update to complete on. I am trying very hard not to format and reload these machines as they are mission critical systems all at different customer sites of ours. They talk about the BCD not being able to be changed.

The installation of Windows 20H2 has failed (current version 1909). After downloading from Windows Update site and ran it, it produced an error code 0x80004005 and suggested to try again. But that also failed.
The SetupDiagResults.log file shows the following error message
Error: SetupDiag reports abrupt down-level failure.

What does it mean and how can I succeed in installing the 20H2 version?

I dont like 20H2 lots of issues download 21H1 and Clean install. Runs smooth as butter, they fixed ALOT of issues. If you want a Legal Link let me know.
