Hi, when using Win11_24H2_EnglishInternational_Arm64.iso on my raspberry 5, the bootable disk comes up and the setup starts with the locals, language and keyboard but fails to recognize any communication ports. Please advise. Best regards.

    :)

    Windows on Raspberry

Hi, I am Dave, I will help you with this.

If you can manage to install a full untouched version of Windows on a Raspberry P, that s legal, if someone online is modifying the Windows ISO to allow installation on a Raspberry PI, that would not be a legal installation, the Windows licence indicates no modifications or decompiling of the Windows source is allowed.

For more detail on this, because Community is just a user to user forum, it would be best to contact Microsoft support directly.

  3. Raspberry Pi Thread

I downloaded via the pi's web browser into my home directory. So it's on the same SD card as the OS.

    communications ports

Serial ports (such as com ports 5, 6, and 7) are not normally included with modern laptops such as the Dell Latitude E6530.

What device(s) do you think are using these com ports?

Which ST Microelectronics drivers did you download and install?

When you go to Device Manager and double-click the "Ports" category, what items are listed there?

When you double-click on each of the listed devices in the "Ports" category, do any of them report that the "Device Status" is other than "This device is working properly"? If so, please provide the complete name of the device and what its Device Status
    is.

On those devices for which the Device Status is not "This device is working properly," select the "Details" tab, select "Hardware Ids" from the drop-down list, right-click > copy the first line in the "Values box, and paste that info in your Reply.
