So, I think I know exactly what I did wrong. And I feel like there might only be one way to fix this because I tried almost everything I found online and nothing has worked so far. Basically anything Microsoft I cannot open, it attempts to then instantly crashes. Microsoft store, any Microsoft apps, anything. Everything else works well on my computer, besides Microsoft. A while back I made the dumb decision to try to mod a game via Microsoft and attempted to give myself access, first by just using the already built-in change permissions thing. I was able to then access all the files, just not able to make any changes so I tried something else. Installing a thing called something around the lines of ownership in files it says "Take ownership" with an admin icon next to it I wanna know if there is ANYTHING I can do or try before I result in a reset also another question I have about resetting if I chose to keep personal files, will that affect windows/Microsoft files, as in it will keep certain ones or does it only keep things like downloads or any "personal" files or would it just be better to go with the option of a complete reset? And before anyone says again, yes, I know trying to access Microsoft files or windows files is extremely dumb; anything you don't have access to or are saying you don't probably is that way for a good reason. and yes I know this was extremely dumb of me, I have established that and learned my lesson very very well and will never mess with these files again. Please help, thank you to those who do respond.

    :)
