  1. Win7 to 10, Uninstalled CustoPack Tools now I'm stuck with Win 7 Icons

Recently, finally, upgraded to Win 10 from Win 7. I'd used CustoPack Tools to run a custom theme on Win 7, foolishly I didn't uninstall this program prior to upgrading to Win 10. I uninstalled via it's included uninstaller not long after upgrading and in the process it restores Windows to it's default. I guess it restored it to a Win 7 default because all the default system icons are the ones from Windows 7 not Windows 10. I'm not sure how to revert this. You can see from the Download folder under Quick Access as well as the older style folder thumnails and the big ugly blue thumbtacks on Quick Access. Another thing is I can't for the life of me figure out why the Downloads folder under Quick Access won't change. I've managed to customize every other folder and Brink's guide on replacing the "This PC" set of folder shortcuts but it won't reflect on that specific folder under Quick Access. I've also used Brink's two .bat files to delete and refresh the thumnails cache and the icons cache (which apparently didn't exist in the first place) and no changes. Anyone have any ideas?

    :)

That was a good idea but it didn't fix the issue. I'm guessing because it's restoring the imageres.dll.mun file and not the old imageres.dll file. I looked it up and apparently Windows shouldn't be pulling icons from System32/imageres.dll at all and should be pulling everything from System Resources/imageres.dll.mun. That switch was make in Win10 version 1903.

Checking with ResourceHacker imageres.dll has all the old Windows 7 icons, imageres.dll.mun has all the modern Win 10 icons. So it's definitely still pulling from imageres.dll when it should be pulling from dll.mun.

I'm guessing that this has been an issue since I upgraded to Win10 and I just didn't notice it since CustoPack Tools was hiding the pin icons under Quick Access that made me realize they were the old icons. Does anyone know what to do in this situation?

    Another 2 solutions:
Wait for the next CU (next month) or,
Opt in to Windows Insider Program and update your PC in latest Insider version.

Not recommending the option 2 (because I'm not an Insider). But if you can do the Option 2, you can do it.
