Windows 10: Winareo Tweaker is not a PUP! New low for Microsoft

Windows Defender now flags WinAero Tweaker WAT as a PUP and removes the executable from the folder.


WAT does not do anything by itself, the user must manually make it do anything.


Every single thing it can do is explained in great detail and can be done by anyone without using WAT.


The only thing WAT does is make it easier, and safer as you avoid mistakes, to both make and undue these changes.


One of the most popular tweaks is the one that disables "Ads and Unwated Apps".


I'm sure this is why M$ has decided to purposley create a false positive in it's A/V software.


M$ is lying to us, plain and simple, winareotweaker.exe is not a virus or a pup.

winaero tweaker?

Can those who use Tweaker tell me some of the useful things that it can do? I looked over the list of features but as a previous poster suggested there's a lot there that might not ever be used by someone who doesn't really understand what's involved.

 

Font is Now Too Small; WinTools or Winareo; which is best?

I realize this topic has been discussed ad nauseam; however, I need an app for my computer so I can read it again! I know there are at least two apps that can fix the problem; WinTools and Winareo Tweaker. I was wondering which has fewer problems from
user experience. Thanks!

 

Desktop icon click boxes are really wonky

The only thing I haven't provided from that list is any changes to my PC, and not really. Other than making my Windows more streamlined a few months back with Winareo Tweaker i haven't.
