Discus and support %windir%\Logs\DISM\DISM.log ERRORS. in Windows 10 Performance & Maintenance to solve the problem; I am writing a script to list any DISM errors found in the DISM log file.     I am writing a script to list any DISM errors found in the DISM log file.

    The Internet hasn't been very forthcoming with regard to finding a full list of errors or the error codes!
    I have so far included the regular errors in the search parameters such as . . .

    Code:
    . . . etc.

    Does anyone have a full list, or a link to a full list of the potential DISM error codes that could possibly be found please?

    I know that the majority of the errors will have the word Error before the error code so that pretty much covers most of them anyway.

    Understanding DISM logs

    Hi,

    I am invoking DISM command from powershell script.

    I want the script to read the DISM log file and determine if DISM command was success or if there was error.

    For Error I know that DISM log file generated Error messages.

    Want to know what is the success message shown for DISM logs? Is there any success code I can look in the log file?

    Recently I ran a sfc /scannow in an elevated command prompt and it reported there were some error it could not repair so I ran a dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth but it gets stuck at 96%. The error is 1726 and the message : the remote procedure
    call failed.

    Try these in order:

    • dism /online /cleanup-image /startcomponentcleanup
    • dism /online /cleanup-image /ScanHealth
    • dism /online /cleanup-image /RestoreHealth
