Windows 10: Windoows hello is not working

I have a new Lenovo idea pad with a fingerprint reader. It worked fine until I got a message to update the BIOS. After I updated the bios, the fingerprint reader could not be used to log in. I tried to add a new fingerprint and it would't do that either. I get a message "Something went wrong on our end Please try again." I went to technical support at Lenovo and they took control of my computer and finally told me that it was a Microsoft problem and I need a fixed version of Windows Hello. I can't find anything on your site with information of Windows Hello. Is there any fix for this?

Since none of the troubleshooting steps here worked, I'd suggest you do a Clean install.

• Are you pertaining on Windows Hello sign-in? If yes, does it mean that the facial recognition is not working?
• Is there an error message displayed when using Windows Hello?

Meanwhile, it is better to check the status of Windows Hello sign-in option in your computer. To check the Windows Hello status, follow these steps:

• Click the Start button and select the Settings
  icon.
• Choose Accounts from the list.
• Select Sign-in options in the left pane of the window.
• Under Windows Hello, kindly check the status of it.
