Windows 10: Windos 10 Pro N Insider Preview deactivated

This morning i was greeted by a notice to "Activate Windows" in the lower right region of my monitor. It also suddenly is running as fast as mud at the South Pole.


I am running the Windows 10 Pro N Insider Preview edition. In the Settings:Activation area, i was informed that:


"We can't activate Windows on this device because you don't have a valid digital license or product key. If you think you have a valid license or key, select Troubleshoot below."


So i selected Troubleshoot and got the following idiotic statement on my computer:


"We found a Windows 10 Pro N Insider Preview digital license for this device running Windows 10 Pro Insider Preview. To activate using this digital license, you need to install Windows 10 Pro N Insider Preview."


OK. what is the fix, and did the same guy/gal who released the original October W10 to the public that wiped out files get transferred to this department?

no, I figured out that pro n is not eligible for insider previews so there is that.

I have windows 10 pro n and i can't get insider previews to work, i just never get the update, is it not possible?

I've noticed that, after the upgrade is downloaded, the main page of windows update displays Windows 10 pro insider preview. On all other pages, including list of past failed upgrade attempts, the update is displayed as Windows 10 pro. Which version of Windows
am I getting?

I'd rather not go to the insider program.
