    Windos 10 update issue

I have 3 Pc's running windows 10. Today, 2 of them updated with 3 bulletins KB5048239, KB5046613, and the malware removal tool 5.130 of KB890830. The updates to the 3rd PC are what this query is about. The relevant machine is a toshiba C665 laptop, was running win7, updated to win 10 last April 2024. It's been updated regularly with bulletins released by MS every month. But today, checking the update history on that machine after the update cycle, I noted that KB8239 had not been applied, and that the malware removal tool seems not to have been applied in the OS update or in the months sinc

With the issue description, I understand that you are facing issues while installing Windows updates on your Windows 10 operating system. I will certainly help you in getting this fixed.

I would like to tell you that this issue might be occurring because of some corruption in program/system files. Let’s follow the below mentioned steps and check if that helps.

Method 1: Run the Windows Update Troubleshooter

Try to run the Windows update troubleshooter, it will detect and resolve the most common issues with the Windows updates. To do so, follow the steps below:

                    • Press “Windows + X”, open
                      Control Panel

                    • In view all control panel items, open
                      Troubleshooting

                    • Click on view all in the left pane

                    • Run Windows Update troubleshooter

Now try to initiate the installation of Windows 10 operating system again. Try method 2, if the issue persist

That's what the auto setting will do since you're over the 1333 mark it jumps to the next step which isn't listed or officially supported I assume by that ram.

At this point though I would suggest dropping the multi one step or .5 so that we can get something stable and possibly take the heat issue out of the picture for now.

New install Windows 10 (issue solved)

It's good that you're not experiencing any issues. Unfortunately many folks are, a quick Google search will show the same info im offering the OP.

    Heres a couple examples:

    Here

    Here

It's basically what I mentioned above, small issues here and there ,but nothing to end your day.. for the most part.

I know it's anecdotal, but for my experience 95% of the time it's perfectly fine. The issues I've run into wouldn't be enough for me to roll back , but they would be enough (had I not installed it yet) ,to avoid it for another couple weeks which is why I'm suggesting it to the OP
