Windows 10: Windos Security says Action Needed when no action is needed

Discus and support Windos Security says Action Needed when no action is needed in Windows 10 Software and Apps to solve the problem; I have ESET Smart Security Premium installed on my Windows 11 PC.     Windos Security says Action Needed when no action is needed


    I have ESET Smart Security Premium installed on my Windows 11 PC. The Windows Security icon has a white X on a red circle on it. If I open it it says Action Needed when no action is needed and ESET says everything is fine. There was an identical issue at Windows Security icon issue but that thread is closed. The recommendations there were to open the Services folder. find the following services and then try shutting down and restarting these services to see if that resolves the issue:Microsoft Defender Antivirus Network Inspection ServiceMicrosoft Defender Antivirus ServiceWindows Defender Fir

    Disable Action Center in Windows 7?

    Unfortunately that doesn't disable Action Center, all it does it cause Acution Center to bitch about the Security Center service not running.

    Action Center seems to be a different beast from Security Center...

    And telling it to not display any messages gets it out of the way, the same way disabling the icon in the suggestions above does, but Action Center is still enabled and running.

    Hi,

    Let's follow these steps to disable action center:

    • Click on Start, type notifications in the search box.
    • In the list, select notifications & action settings.
    • On the right side, click on turn system icons on or off.
    • Turn off action center from there.
