Windows 10: Window 10 Activation

I updated from Windows 7 to Windows 10 from the free upgrade a while ago. I just upgraded my motherboard and cpu. I am had my licensed link to my email(Microsoft account). When I click "Troubleshoot" and select I changed my hardware on this device recently. I get an error message that says "Unable to activate windows, the servers aren't available". This has been happening all day. Is there a way to get this to activate? or do I need to buy a new key?

I won't buy a key, stupid.

I'll revert back to windows 7 then.

When I still was on windows 7, about a year ago I added 4GB extra ram which is a total of 8GB now,
is that causing the problem?
