    Since advanced user should know what to do, what to avoid then he shouldn't need any anti virus.

    There are various of reasons why someone wants a different AV, I want one that is easily configured but has many options. I find that Bitdefender TS qualifies best for it. You should choose the AV that fits your needs and makes you comfortable.

    Windows Defender has relatively few options in comparison to some of it's competitors. Programs for the large majority of Windows users (who know little of computers and don't want to learn) must be kept simple to use. Advanced users often want more control with options that would confuse and be misused by the average user.

    WD is also adequate for advanced users. In fact, it does its job quite right and installing any other AV program into w10 is looking for trouble imho. Your best bet is to go the "layered security" way, i.e, add more security programs alongside the av (mbae, antiransomware, etc), to be on the safe side.
