Windows 10: Window 10 changed from Pro to Enterprise after I resetted the pc.

Yesterday, I was having issues with my PC because my GPU wasn’t working properly, and I found out it's broken. I reset my PC before realizing the GPU was the problem. I only did a partial reset, so my downloads and personal files were saved. Now I’ve noticed that my version of Windows has changed to Enterprise, even though it was Windows 10 Pro before the reset. I’m also getting pop-up messages asking me to activate Windows, covering my screen. Before the reset, Windows 10 Pro was working fine. Downgrade Windows 10 enterprise to Pro

Luckily, you can quickly downgrade from Windows 10 Enterprise to Windows 10 Pro by just changing the product key to the one for Pro.

You are asking the wrong question. It is (technically) possible to switch your versions around but it is isn't trivial. If you have to ask about what to do with your games I think you are not even close to being able to do it.

You can convert standard Enterprise to Pro but you can't convert an Enterprise Evaluation to anything as it clearly said when you signed up to the program.

So if you have bought a valid 10 Pro key or your PC came with 10 Pro installed anyway, I'd suggest you clean install 10 Pro. (unplug your other drives first).

Don't try using generic keys or anything. It is against the rules of this forum and will not work in any case.

You need a valid key to activate and assuming you do I suggest you use it.

 

Windows 10 Pro resets to Enterprise

One of the things that I would suggest you to do is use a default key to upgrade to Windows 10 Pro. Refer the steps mentioned below:

1. Press Windows Logo key + I, to open Settings.
2. Click on Update & Security.
3. Click on Activation.
4. Now, click on Change product key.
5. Enter the key: YTMG3-N6DKC-DKB77-7M9GH-8HVX7
6. Click on Next or OK.
7. Reboot when prompted.

Once the upgrade is complete, please make sure that you are signed in with the same Microsoft account through which you have made the purchase.
