Windows 10: Window 10 Live Mail

I just upgraded to Windows 10 and considering using Windows 10 Live Mail as email client. I setup a Live Mail account and my email inbox from internet provider email account came across just fine but I could not find anywhere to close the Reading Pane.


Does Live Mail's Reading Pane always need on or did I miss where to close it?

I would like an answer to above question before I try importing Saved Emails etc. from Windows Live Mail 2012. I would prefer not to have the Reading Pane open all the time.


Also I prefer to stay with Microsoft but if there are other recommended email clients I would possibly consider? After 30 plus years using/supporting/recommending Microsoft products- Windows 10 and Edge are making it difficult to keep doing so.

  A window will pop up asking to either remove or repair Windows Essentials.
• Choose Repair all Windows Essentials program.

If repairing does not work, then we advise that you uninstall and reinstall Windows Live Mail. You can follow the same steps above but choose Remove instead of repair. You can then visit this

link where you can download a fresh copy of Windows Live Mail.

Repair Windows Live Mail

Refer to the steps mentioned below:

• 
  Press Windows Key + R
  
• 
  Type appwiz.cpl
  
• 
  Right click Windows Live Essentials
  
• 
  Click Uninstall/Change
  
• 
  Click Repair all Windows Live Programs
  

If the issue still persists, proceed to Method 2.
