Windows 10: window 10 lost cdrom

I upgraded to windows 10 and lost my cdrom but windows supplied me with one. I some how lost it and have no idea what to do now to get it working again. Can someone please help me?Thank You,Jill

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

Windows 10 lost CDROM (solved)

My windows 10 lost the cdrom

I tried many things from the net none worked

I went to this location in regedit

I then delete everything in the IDEChannel folder, and everything in the four folders

4&3189a216&0&1

4&38d74911&0&0

4&38d74911&0&1

Restarted the computer and the cdrom re-appeared
