    Window 10 READ ONLY ttribute


    Hi MS : I notice in the PICTURES folder the READ ONLY is checked. I went through the process of "unchecking" READ ONLY. And then clicking the appropriate boxes. Windows 10 turns the READ ONLY attribute back on. I can on the internet select a picture and use SAVE AS to save it in the PICTURES folder. Even use SAVE AS to save text into the PICTURES folder. But.......COPY>PASTE into the PICTURES folder won't work. Would there be a REGEDIT setting to turn this attribute off?Thanks, Gary@*** Email address is removed for privacy ***

    Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

    Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK
