Windows 10: window 11, change my speaker output to 5.1, no where I had found choosing my speakers to 5.1.

hello my dearest Windows 11 developers out there, I greet you again.I want to do a simple and most important process, so I can enjoy my music and movies while I work, yes I can work while I watch movies and music, doing it for years, since windows 3.1 came out, and is just to change my speaker output to 5.1.no where in windows 11, I could change my speaker output to 5.1 or 7.1.can kind person guide me on this simple to do task that I was able really quickly in windows 10.thank you, G.

No issues with mp3 files playing on all 5 speakers.

 

No Audio Output Device is Installed

Hi,

You will need to select Windows 8 from the drop down list while installing the driver in compatibility mode.

I would suggest you to try setting the speaker as default audio output by following the steps below and check if it helps.

1. Right click on the sound icon on the right bottom corner of the taskbar.

2. Select "playback devices".

3. If "speaker" is not set as the default device, highlight it and click "set as default".

5. Save the changes.

Go and read your av receiver's manual, there should be a feature to make stereo audio to output on all 5 speakers.
