  1. Window 11 S mode files scanning

Hello, I recently purchased a laptop that came with Window 11 in S mode. I had no clue of what it was until I tried installing some apps which ended up failing to do so. Hence, I went to did some research on it, only to know that download is restricted. I do understand that with the S mode restriction, I'm not allowed to download any other antivirus software as reinforcement. However, I am wondering if it would be safe to work with just Window Security? If so, I would like to ask whether Window Security would be able to scan files/email attachment for viruses and security whenever they are bein

  2. How to disable Airplane mode permanently on Windows 10?

    Hi Hunky,

As you are facing issues with turning on or off Airplane on your device, do not worry we will help you with this issue.

Do let us know if you have made any changes to the operating system prior to this issue?

The option you are looking for to permanently disable Airplane mode is unfortunately not available.

Let us try few of the below troubleshooting steps to disable Airplane mode and check if it helps.

Step 1: To turn off Airplane mode from Settings and check.

    • Press Windows key, click on Settings
      from the left pane.
    • Click on Network & Internet.
    • Under Airplane mode turn it off and check.

Step 2: To Turn On or Off Airplane Mode in Network Notification Area Icon

    • Click on the Network icon in the taskbar notification area.

    • Click on the Airplane mode button to toggle on or off.

Step 3: To Turn On or Off Airplane Mode in Action Center

    • Open Action Center by clicking Windows + A keys from keyboard.

    • Click on the Airplane mode quick action button to toggle on or off.

If the settings are not refining, this issue might have occurred due to corrupted/ missing system files.

Step 4: I suggest you to run SFC scan and check if it helps.

System File Checker is a utility in Windows that allows users to scan for corruptions in Windows system files and restore corrupted files. If a
Windows Resource Protection (WRP) file is missing or is corrupted, Windows may not behave as expected.

    Follow the below steps:

    • Right click on the Start button, click on
      Command Prompt (Admin).
    • Type “sfc /scannow” without the quotes and hit
      Enter.
    • After the scan, restart the computer and check for the issue.

Hope it helps. Reply to the post with updated status of disabling the Airplane mode for further assistance.

    Thank you.

Kodak AIO will no longer scan using windows 10

    Hi,

Thank you for posting in Microsoft community.

    • Do you get any error message?
    • Do let us know what happens when you try to scan?
    • Does the issue occur when scanning or when opening the file in Acrobat reader?

From what you have mentioned, I would suggest you to try these steps to see if it resolves the issue

    Method 1: Troubleshoot

Windows 10 has a built-in troubleshooter to check and fix issues with hardware and devices. I would suggest you to run this troubleshooter to check if the issue is with your Printer. Refer these steps:

    1. Press Windows key +X, select Control panel

    2. Change the view by option on the top right to Large icons

    3. Click on troubleshooting and click on the view all option on the left panel

    4. Run the Hardware and devices as well as Printer troubleshooter

    Method 2: Compatibility mode

I would suggest you to install the latest available drivers on manufacturer's website in compatibility mode.

Follow the steps below on how to install driver in compatibility mode:

    1. Download the driver from the manufacturer’s website and save it on your local disk.

    2. Right click on the setup file of the driver and select “Properties”.

    3. Select “Compatibility” Tab.

    4. Place a check mark next to “Run this program in Compatibility mode” and select operating system from the drop down list.

    5. Let the driver install and then check the functionality.

Hope this helps. If the issue remains unresolved, please get back to us and we would be happy to help

    Thanks.
