Windows 10: Window 8 login not working Microsoft account

Hi all, My husband died a couple of weeks ago after a very short illness. He gave me his Google, Microsoft and other passwords and I managed to log into everything but his computer. He has an old Toshiba with a Window 8 installed. When I click on his account it gives me his name and email address of which I have the password. However, when I enter the password I get the message "the password is incorrect. Make sure you're using the password for your Microsoft account. You can always reset it at...."The computer is logged into the WiFi. I tried to reset the Microsoft password again but it didn'

Yea, I would create a local account and just use your school account to login to Outlook and Onedrive.

That's a great idea, I can just create a link to the one drive folder on my primary account!
Will the files still sync if I'm logged in, but not active, and will the be any noticeable effect on performance?

 

Help Removing Microsoft Account login

I am not sure if you want to switch to a local account instead of your Microsoft account, or if you want to keep your Microsoft account but login automatically instead of having to type the password.
