  1. Window for "Create a Password Reset Disk" is visible in Task View, but when accessing it...

    Title.

I've tried ending it in Task Manager few times, restarting my PC, and even ending the "Windows Host Process Rundll32" task. None of these options work. I am on the latest version of Win 10 if that relates to this. If there's any solutions out there besides these, which haven't worked, please describe them

    :)

  2. Create Password Reset Disk missing from Control Panel

    Solved.

Problem: When I click Start and search for "Password", then select "Create a password reset disk" in the search results, the dialogue starts then disappears. When you got to Task View, the dialogue appears in the list but when you select it to activated
it, nothing happens. The only thing that can be done in Task View is close the window. When I go to the Control Panel/User Accounts, the "Create a password reset disk" option is not listed anywhere.

Solution: Go to the Control Panel, enter "Password" in the search box in the upper right corner. "Create a password reset disk" is listed under the User Accounts heading in the search results. Click on it and it starts and runs correctly...at least it
    did for me.

  3. create a password reset disk

    Hi,

Creating a password reset disk requires you to sign in using a local account, and there shouldn't be an issue of doing it. However, we would like to know what do you mean by "nothing happens". We also suggest that you check this
article to see if you're doing the same steps for creating a password reset
    disk.

We're looking forward to your feedback.
