Windows 10: Window is unable to reconnect the hidden wifi automatically

Dear sir,

I am having wifi issues since last month. Previously my windows 10 was working fine but after an update provided by Microsoft, I am having a problem while connecting to wifi. It works fine with unhidden wifi but when I connect hidden wifi it can not reconnect automatically after wifi is turned off then on. I have to connect it every time by entering the SSID and password.
I have tried resetting the network but that doesn't work for me. It is really annoying while connecting the same wifi again & again by re-entering the SSID and password. How can I get rid of this problem?

Reconnect to hidden known WIFI on demand (NOT automatically)

Why is there no option to connect to an already known network? It seems there is only one way to do this: use the "hidden network" option in the wifi-bar which is annoying since i have to reenter the ssid and the password every time and it also adds a "new"
network to my list of known networks every time. i know my network is there and i just want to connect to it and i don't want to enable "connect automatically" because i just do not want to connect automatically every time. and no i don't want to broadcast
the ssid either - no it's not a security concern i'm just annoyed by the thousands of "you shall not pass" networks. just a bunch of useless entries in my list and about 98% of them.

why is there no option to just reconnect to my little private hidden network without "rediscovering" it all the time?

 

Anomalous WiFi Reconnection

Wondering what (if anything) this was about: WiFi disconnected on wife's computer.

1. Checked, WiFi itself working.
2. Ran Network Trouble Shooter, which usually fixes such problems; failed.
3. Ran Hardware Trouble Shooter, nothing found.
4. Checked Wireless Card in Device Manager; indicated as working properly.
5. Restarted computer; still no WiFi.
6. Although Notification icon was black, clicked on it to see if anything there, found that the WiFi network was "Secured." Clicked on that, saw that it was set to connect automatically, clicked on that, failed. Tried once more, failed, so deselected automatic connection, clicked again, and WiFi was reconnect instantaneously.

I think that that covers most, if not all of the steps I took to fix the problem. Any idea as to what caused this, and as to why non-automatic reconnect worked without even asking for the router's password?

 

Hidden wifi

what i suggested in my first post does hide the WLAN, as long as you have the Security set to mandatory, because then windows will not try to connect to it automatically since it is security enabled
