Windows 10: Window License soon to expire [the sequel]

There aren't enough words to describe the feelings I have towards this happening but I'll try 'cause I desperately need advice. To sum it up: a foolish attempt 2 yrs back to have a cracked idm version that led to this pc slowing down, failing to respond and ultimately failing to turn on- that forced me format it, even then there was an issue preventing it from even reaching the start screen. Taking the advice of a family member I turned to a repair shop, they installed windows (a 'questionable' license), it was still slow until I updated it. Fast forward to today and the license issue presented itself a yr back. The problem came back near a month ago and this time around they suggested I wait for the license to expire then come back to them.


With nine days left and counting I noticed something this morning; icons have gone blank/missing inability to fully open windows- nothing from the navigation pane. I mean that it doesn't show properly, and transfers didn't work. Apps suffered from the same thing- I couldn't save my work. Is this related to the license or a virus? Please, say license 'cause Defender isn't responding since this morning.

I have recently factory restored my hp envy windows 10. Now i have this message "WINDOWS LICENSE WILL EXPIRE SOON". Im not sure if this is important but i have sent in my hp envy for warranty repairs on the hard disk drive. I bought my hp with windows 10 home edition, but when I sent it in for repairs it came back with windows 10 pro. Any suggestions
