Windows 10: Window not showing up correctly as it should after connecting second monitor

When you click on an application on the taskbar which was open or you alt+tab to find it, it usually pops up, but after connecting the second monitor or during it, it shows you are currently focusing on it, but it isn't anywhere, you have to WIN+D to go to the desktop, then click it again in order for it to show up. after restart as well

  Have you tried to connect the second monitor on a different port?
  

I suggest you to connect second display using a different port available on your PC and check if the second display works. If second display works in other port, then the possible cause for this issue may be discrete video card driver.

Step 1: Run the Hardware and Devices
troubleshooter.

Hardware and Devices troubleshooter checks for common problems and makes sure that any new device or hardware connected to your PC is installed correctly.

Windows 10 doesn't show native display for second monitor

Hi,

In order to for your Windows 10 to show the native display for the second monitor, you may revert all screen settings back to default, and see if this resolves the issue. If it doesn't, you may try these steps:

• Press Windows key + P.
• If your monitor settings is on Duplicate, try choosing
  Extend.
• If your monitor settings is on Extend try choosing the
  Duplicate.
• Check the resolution if both monitors are showing the same resolution value.
