Windows 10: Window s10 displaying that you need an app to open calculator

The fix is to reset the application data....how:- Type at the start up the application that is not working. i.e in this example was the calculator or map.exe2. Right click on the mouse to get applet " app settings3. Scroll down to see "Reset"4. Reset button does rese the corrupted or an old data of the application.That is all to itBK

Windows 10 Your Phone App - Samsung Galaxy S10 - ERROR: "Connect to the same WiFi"

Unable to connect Windows 10 Your Phone app to Samsung Galaxy S10 Link To Windows app, error reported: "Connect to the same WiFi"

Step To Recreate

1. Windows 10: Your Phone app, click 'Phone Screen'
2. Windows 10: Your Phone app, "We need permission to display your phone screen"
3. Galaxy S10: Notification, "Connected to Your Phone app on <hostname>"
4. Galaxy S10: Notification, "Accept connection?" > Accept
5. Windows 10: Your Phone App, ERROR: "Connect to the same WiFi"

Points To Note

• Windows 10 device is connected via WiFi to Galaxy S10's WiFi hotspot i.e. tethered
• Galaxy S10 device is connected to the Internet via the mobile phone network
• Galaxy S10 Link To Windows app is configured to "Use mobile data"
• Both Windows 10 Your Phone app and Galaxy S10 Link To Windows app connected to same Microsoft account
• All other Windows 10 Your Phone app features work flawlessly e.g. Calls, Messages, Photos, Notifications etc

Anyone know how to fix this? Everything else works fine, just this feature is broken.

Troubleshooting

• Updated all apps
• Updated Windows 10
• Updated Galaxy S10
• Uninstalled / reinstalled / reconnected all apps
• Factory reset Galaxy S10
• Prayed

Calculator Will not Open

I would suggest you to provide some information to help you better.

• 
  Are you facing this issue on a local account or the Microsoft account?
  
• 
  Are you facing this issue with the built in calculator or the calculator app?
  

If it is a built in Calculator I would suggest you to check if you can open and check the status.

• 
  Press Windows + R keys.
  
• 
  Type calc and hit Enter
  and check the status if its opening.
  

I would also suggest you to try creating a new user account
and check if issue persists.

Note:Install all the pending updates after logging in to Microsoft account and check.

Stock calculator app opens and closes immediately

I'm John an Independent Advisor and a Microsoft user like you. I want to apologize if you encountered this issue. I understand you have a problem with Calculator. Did you mean the Calculator app?

**Run the troubleshooter:

Select the Start button, and then select Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot, and then from the list select Windows Store apps > Run the troubleshooter.

**Reset the Microsoft Store cache

Press the Windows Logo Key + R to open the Run dialog box, type wsreset.exe, and then select OK.

Note

A blank Command Prompt window will open, and after about ten seconds the window will close and Microsoft Store will open automatically.

Press Start then search Apps and Features

Search Calculator app on the list

Click then select Advanced options

Click Terminate then Reset

Run the Calculator app again

If it doesn't work, Select Calculator App in Apps and Features then Click Uninstall

Open Microsoft Store then search for Calculator App

Click Get and Install

Launch again your Calculator
