Windows 10: Windows 10 0xc00000e5 application unable to start correctly

I'm trying to run an application called MySQL Workbench which has been working perfectly fine up until last week which now displays the error message below.

I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling to no avail and talking to the Microsoft support helpline I'm passed from department to department with no resolution.

I need this to do my uni coursework, I'm at my wit's end *Mad

hi guys i have some problem in windows 10 laptop some applications are not open and shows the massage the application was unable to start correctly (0xc00000e5). click ok to close the application...................................

 

Windows Apps are not starting on Windows 10, error message "App can't open".

mine says application was unable to start correctly (0xc00000e5) Click ok to close the application i says that every time i open an app.

 

I believe 0xc000005e means that the initialization of in this case most likely a prerequisite failed what would mean that one or more programs that are required are either corrupted or not proper installed.
I do also have MySQL Workbench, but I'm not 100% sure what programs are required. I reinstalled it a short time ago, but I installed Visual Studio before it what could be the reason why no prerequisite programs were extra installed (they were installed when Visual Studio was installed).

I suggest to remove the software from Microsoft, like

• Microsoft .NET Framework,
• Microsoft SQL Server,
• Microsoft Visual C++

and MySQL Workbench, download a new installation and try to install again.
