Windows 10: Windows 10/11 audio cuts off low end frequency Hz when loading a video or audio call...

Afternoon beloved nerds, I brought up a case with our phone software client that eventually lead to this question. From starting a softphone web client Five9 it would notably cut off the body/low end frequency of the audio or change the tone if you will. I though it was a gimmick of the web extension itself, but the same tone cut can be replicated when starting a Zoom meeting, a Teams call and when opening to the System Audio settings on my laptop. And the audio changes back to normal full sounding when closing out of the meeting/call/audio settings/signing out of the five9 page. Why is

Windows 10 Audio Randomly Cuts Out

1) Is the issue confined with specific browser, when you say online audio and video is not working?

2) Is the issue is confined with play online audio/video or with system audio as well?

3) Which exact Windows troubleshooter you have run?



I suggest you to follow the below steps and check if it helps.



Step 1: If you have not performed audio troubleshooter then, I suggest you to perform audio troubleshooter.

Follow the below steps:

• 
  Type Troubleshooting in the Search area on the taskbar and select
  Troubleshooting.
  
• 
  Select Hardware and Sound.
  
• 
  Select Playing Audio under
  Sound and follow the on screen.
  

Step 2: Set Windows Audio services as manual.

Follow the below steps:

1) Press Windows key + r, type services.msc and hit Enter.

2) Check for the Windows Audio services.

3) Right click on the service and select Manual.

Audio cuts in and out

Audio has been having an issue way before build 22623.1037.

It seems when Window has to load a program or do an activity. The audio cuts out and gets distorted while Windows 11 has to load something.

Sometimes it does it when loading up a program like Steam or whatever, and sometimes it doesn't.

 

Audio sounds garbled and cuts out when volume is low

My computer seems to mute the audio when only low amplitude sounds are being played. Just as it's doing so, the audio also sounds garbled, like there's some sort of compression happening. It only lasts through the duration of low volume, so sounds that are supposed to be quiet sound garbled or are nonexistent. It's as if the computer is trying to decide whether the audio, being so quiet, is worth passing to the speakers or compressing to nothingness. This is noticeable when watching low volume videos. Restarting the computer resolves the issue for a little while, but then it starts up again after a few hours. I can't tell what triggers the problem. I'm running Windows 11 on a LG Gram (15Z90N-R). My audio driver is Synaptics SmartAudio HD and is up to date.
