  1. Windows 10/11 Default Speaker/Microphone Automatic Selection

Greetings,Is there a way to lock the default Speaker and Microphone selection in the default device sections of W10/W11? I just need those selected default to stay the same whenever Windows detects a "new candidate" and not decide that it should become the "new default".I already know you value my business and please with sugar on top, don't gi

  3. Lumia 930 microphone doesn't work on speaker

Hi, I have same issue on Lumia 930, have tried the various steps proposed by Microsoft, have also tried updating software to Windows 10 but to no avail. While a number of posts on this topic suggest it is likely to be a hardware bug, my symptoms seem to
    indicate software:

    • while using the phone normally (not on speaker) the microphones work perfectly. IE microphones 1 and 2 at the bottom of the phone appear to be working 100%
    • while using the phone on speaker, microphones 1 and 2 (see Windows Phones for good photos of microphone locations) seem to be completely off
    • while using phone on speaker, microphones 3 and 4 at the top of the phone seem to work reasonably as long as I'm close to the phone. Not as well as they should on a speakerphone though.
    • microphone on headset works fine
This does look to be a very widespread issue ... any updates from Microsoft?

    thanks

Microphone not working with windows 10

    Hi Hawkesy,

I realize the inconvenience you are experiencing with Microphone on Windows 10. I will certainly help you.

This issue might occur if the audio drivers are corrupted or due to incorrect audio settings.
I suggest you to try the following troubleshooting steps and check if it resolves the issue.

    Method 1: Enable Microphone

Step 1: Ensure the microphone is fully and firmly inserted into the correct jack.

Step 2: Plug in the microphone and see if the same shows up in Control Panel. Please follow the instruction:

    1. Right-click on sound icon in the taskbar and select "Recording Devices". See if the Microphone is listed.

    2. If not, right-click on the blank area and select "Show Disabled Devices".

    3. Right-click on your microphone and select "Enable ".

Step 3: Check the volume property. Ensure that it’s not mute.

Method 2: Set Microphone as Default

This may happen when you have the external speakers set to default. Perform the task mentioned below to set Microphone as default:

    1. On the start screen of windows 10 press the ‘Windows key + X’
key on the keyboard and then click on Control

    Panel > Sound option.

    2. In the new windows click on the tab "Playback" and right click in the window and click on
