Windows 10: Windows 10/11 fresh install no device drivers were found

Hello, I am trying to install windows on a new pc from a USB drive made by the Microsoft creation tool but keep getting a “No device drivers were found” error. Here are my specs: i7 13700K Asus prime z790-P D4 2tb sata ssd 2tb m.2 nvmeThe motherboard sees the drives perfectly fine and Hands off XHCI is turned on.Things I’ve tried so far: 1 using both a windows 10 and 11 USB drives made by the Microsoft creation tool.2 Disabling VMD and RAID for SATA.3 Installing IRST drivers manually tried both from Asus site and both from intel site and both vmd and non-vmd drivers from here https://www.

If you having an issue installing a driver that worked before you formatted or wont install on a fresh build, sometimes this means hardware damage

 

Is it time for Windows 10 already?

Touchpad device missing in Device Manageafter Windows 10 fresh install

Hello,

I just purchased a Gateway GWNC31514 laptop. I'm not a big fan of Windows 11, so I put a fresh copy of Windows 10 Pro on the system. After install, I had a number of unknown devices shown in Device Manager but I was able to download all of the available drivers and have the OS auto-select driver updates from my download folder. Throughout the Windows 10 install, fresh boot, and driver updates, I've been unable to use the touchpad (external USB mouse works fine). Looking in Device Manager, there are no touchpad devices listed. Also, there are no unknown devices (devices needing drivers). At this point, it looks like Windows 10 isn't detecting the Touchpad or Windows 10 used the wrong driver during the driver update process. Any ideas on how to identify the touchpad device given these to situations?
