Windows 10: Windows 10 (1803) Camera App No Flash Option Available on Panasonic FZ-M1 mk2

Hello,


This has been an issue that I've looked for a solution for, but after several months have had no luck. To get straight to the point the issue is that when trying to use the Windows Camera App to take photos, no flash option is available. I have tried several re-formats, installed all updated drivers and updates. Nothing will allow for the flash option to become available. I have over 400 of these devices and they all have the same result, so it's a defects camera issue. The screen shots below shows how it looks for the FZ-M1 mk2. model:





As you can see, there is no flash option where there should be.


Additionally, on the same device, the Panasonic PC Camera Utility pick up the camera flash just fine, as shown below:








I'm not sure where the disconnect is between the Panasonic Camera App and the Windows Camera App is and why it's only allowing for one but not both.


Any help would be greatly appreciated as I'm at a complete loss of where the issue is lying.

Model: FZ-M1F303AVM (mk2)

OS: Windows 10 (1803), Have also tried 1809 & 1903 with same issue.

As I've stated, all drivers and updates are updated to the latest. I've also tried installing several different versions and upgrades of Windows that have the same result. The issue seems to be a disconnect between the camera/light hardware and the Windows
Camera App, but on every device.

What is the make and model of the computer?

Ideally, flash light has to show up in the Camera app when you try to access it. The issue might be occurring due to outdated drivers that are installed on your machine. Kindly check for the latest firmware updates and see if it works.

If that doesn’t help, I suggest you to visit your PC manufacturer’s website and look for the latest camera drivers, and install them.

However, as you say that the issue persists on 400 devices, I recommend you to post your query on
TechNet Forums, where we have support professionals
who are well-equipped to resolve this issue for you.
