Windows 10 1803 mobile APN profile auto connect error

    Hi!

The problem is that if a user mobile apn profile is configured and checked that the win handle it, after the sim pin is entered, the profile will not be activated and it will not be possible to connect from the host room / gui only with netsh or - even without modifications- we save the affected apn profile. (Win creates + a device profile by default during sim resolutions.)

    Thanks!

    :)

  2. LTE APN Problems

So I bought a HP Spectre X2 with LTE
It was designed for Verizon but the Amazon Listing says Supports T Mobile

I put the SIM In. And it works shows T Mobile and everything is fine.

Then if I reinstalled Windows or Update. Or ANY change to the OS. The LTE no longer works. It will show T Mobile. It will go back and forth between Activating and Applied

And if I try and connect it says Enter APN No APN Found

I've had To Mobile on the phone. Threw various APNs in. And Nothing

There is an APN there but it just won't work. Something is getting messed up and I really love this tablet and want the LTE to work

    Please help

Define the standard-APN for mobile connection on Windows 10

    All,

    I got a brand new HP Elitebook 840 G4 (on Windows 10) with a Qualcomm Snapdragon X5 LTE-module. I'm using a t-mobile data-plan.

Immediately after inserting the SIM-card, a new APN was set up automatically. The problem now is that I have 3 APN-profiles, when it comes to my mobile connection:

    • automatic selection
    • modem-provisioned-profile
    • t-mobile

Whenever I allow Windows 10 to manage the profiles, it obviously selects the "automatic" that seems to point to the "modem-provisioned-profile", which can't connect to t-mobile. Everytime I use the mobile connection, I need to disconnect, select option 3
    (APN: t-mobile) manually, connect again.

For some reason, I can't delete the modem-provisioned-profile (the button is greyed out), even though I will actually never need it.

Second option I thought of was to change the order, so that automatic points to option 3 or that option 3 somehow is "promoted" into option 1. I guess the registry would be the right place to do this.

Can anybody out there help me with that matter? I don't expect it to be too hard... you "just" need to know, where Windows 10 1803 mobile APN profile auto connect error :)

    Thanks & regards,

    Bobby

Loss of APN-connection with wifi active after update

    Hello
    HenrikSvenstrup,

    Thank you for your post.

An access point name (APN) is the address your phone uses to connect to a GSM network. By default, APNs are set automatically when your phone is first set up. If your cellular data connection isn't working, try entering a new APN based on your location and
    mobile operator.

    To add an APN

    • Tap Add APN.

    • Do one or more of the following in the list below, and then tap Done
Windows 10 1803 mobile APN profile auto connect error basic-icon-done.png
      :
      • Tap APN, then type the address for the APN to use.
      • Tap User name, then type the user name for your mobile account.
      • Tap Password, then type the password for your mobile account.
      • Tap Proxy server/URL, then type the address of the proxy server for your mobile account.
      • Tap Proxy port, then type the port number.
    Kind regards,
