Windows 10: WINDOWS 10 1809, 1909 FRESH INSTALL ERRORS BSOF SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION

Please I need help with this, it is driving me crazy.


Recently I started to use my laptop more often. It is an Acer Aspire 7 with i7 8750H, gtx 1050ti and came with 8gb of ram. I changed it to a kit of 16 gb ddr4 x 2 32gb.


I get randomly BSOD with the SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION. I try to reinstall windows a couple of times, but it is the same thing.


Also I run the windows memory test, and it is OK.


I installed ubuntu to test, and I didn't have any problems there.

HEIC photos not opening in Windows 10 (1909) Fresh Install

I'm having an issue where all HEIC photos will not open in a fresh install of Windows 10 (1909). I've confirmed that the HEIF Image Extensions app is installed.

I've gone through the usual troubleshooting steps of resetting the Photos and HEIF image Extensions apps to no avail. I even went as far as running Powershell to uninstall the apps, and again the issue persists.

Are there any additional troubleshooting steps I can take?

Windows 10 1909 Causes Secondary Hard Drive to not be Recognized

Installing the Windows 10 1909 Update causes my secondary hard drive to not be recognized.

Steps to confirm issue:

• Secondary drive not visible in Windows Explorer
• Secondary drive not visible in device manager
• Secondary drive not visible in disk manager

Steps to replicate issue:

• Installing 1909 update

Steps to resolve issue:

• Uninstall 1909 update

Since updates can only be delayed for so long, an actual fix would be appreciated.
