Windows 10: Windows 10 1903 can't set minimum log size to 1028

In my experience, there has always been an error issued when trying to set log sizes to minimum 1028 however it did do it.


Since 1903 the Security log can only be set above the default 20480. Setting it to 1028 results in the message below.

'The maximum log size is not valid it is too large or too small. the maximum log size will be set to the following 20480 KB'


Just in case anyone knows a workaround ......

FYI: Minimum Storage Capacity for v.1903

Microsoft has published
revised minimum storage capacity requirements for desktop Windows 10. Minimum storage capacity for the upcoming v.1903 release of desktop Windows 10 is 32 GB for both 32- and 64-bit architectures. That's a substantial increase over previous versions of
desktop Windows 10, which required 16 or 20 GB for 32-bit and 64-bit architectures, respectively. This could pose a significant challenge for devices with only 32 GB of internal storage.

 

Windows 10 Tweaks

As you may already know, Windows 10 (as well as Windows 8) allow you to log in with a valid Microsoft account, instead of creating a local account that only works on your machine. However, you may prefer to keep a local account for privacy reasons. If you do, though, some Windows 10 features—like Cortana—may not work. Despite the default behavior, the Windows 10 Store is not one of them. You can still log in to your Microsoft account for just the Store without switching to a full Microsoft account. The process, however, is not terribly obvious. To do so, follow these steps:

• Launch the Store from your Start menu.
• Click the user icon next to the search box.
• Click “Sign-in” from the menu that appears.
• Choose “Microsoft account” and log in like normal.
• When the “Make it yours” box appears do not enter your password. Instead, click “Sign in to just this app instead.”
