Windows 10: Windows 10 1903 Remote Desktop cursor stutters with multiple displays

I discovered this when upgrading to 1903. Reproduced the issue on many machines and displays. Thought I would share my findings here since I couldn't find anything about this online yet.


Reproduction steps:
RDP HOST: Windows 10 version 1903 with default RDP WDDM display driver enabled
RDP CLIENT: any build Win 10, multiple displays enabled
ISSUE: when I move my cursor between two displays, the cursor stutters during the transition between monitors. It appears to reposition the cursor client-side after the host acknowledges the display transition. This effect gets worse when there is more network latency between the host and client. Confirmed above 50ms at least. (It is barely noticeable on a local network with <1ms latency)
NOTE: WDDM is the new default RDP display driver in 1903 so I figured this was the issue. When I disable the WDDM driver using gpedit it works perfectly so I am fairly sure it is an issue with this new WDDM implementation.

Workaround: Set "Use WDDM graphics display driver for Remote Desktop Connections" to Disabled in group policy.

I will certainly help you with the issue you are experiencing in adjusting the resolution on the remote desktop.

This issue might occur due to, when you first connect, Remote Desktop attempts to size the screen according to its default setting. You can adjust this setting within the Remote Desktop client. Adjusting the screen size allows
you to sculpt the desktop display size to better fit your computer's viewing area.

Please follow below mentioned steps to fix the issue:

Step 1: To change the size of the Remote Desktop window:

• 
  Open Remote Desktop Connection (RDC).
  
• 
  Click on the Options button located in the lower left-hand corner of the RDC window.
  
• 
  This will expand the RDC window to display 7 different option tabs.
  
• 
  Click on the Display tab.
  
• 
  In the display configuration section, slide the bar to the left or right to decrease or increase the size of the remote desktop session window.
  
• 
  Click the Connect button.

Step 2:

• 
  Open the "Start" menu and type
  "mstsc" (in the search bar) and then press “Enter."
  
• 
  Click "Options”.
  
• 
  Click the "Display" tab.
  
• 
  Drag the slider bar left or right to
  reduce or enlarge the display resolution. The
  left-most position is the minimum resolution, while the right-most is a full-screen resolution.

I suggest you to refer the below steps and see if this helps.

• 
  Enable remote desktop in settings
  
  • Control Panel\System and Security\System, Click "Remote Settings" on the left side
• 
  Verify my port forwarding settings were properly forwarding to my computers local IP address
  
  • run "cmd.exe" and then type "ipconfig". Find your IP from that list

• Make sure your firewall settings are open
• Go to "Control Panel\System and Security\Windows Firewall\Allowed apps"

• On the left, click "Allow an app or feature through Windows Firewall"
• Click "Change Settings"
• Find "Remote Desktop" in the list and make sure both "Private" and "Public" is checked.

Remote Desktop

Okay guys need some help here before going crazy...
I am trying to setup a remote desktop connection and see exactly what the logged on user is looking at with out going through Windows Remote Desktop.

Since its local network I don't have any password or want to setup a password.

Any suggestions are appreciated
