Windows 10: Windows 10 1903 Sleep mode not working.

Discus and support Windows 10 1903 Sleep mode not working. in Windows 10 Performance & Maintenance to solve the problem; If I set sleep mode to say 5 minutes whilst listening to an online radio, it never enters sleep mode.     Windows 10 1903 Sleep mode not working.


    If I set sleep mode to say 5 minutes whilst listening to an online radio, it never enters sleep mode. No, I have not touched any keys, mouse etc

    However, if I leave my laptop doing nothing, no radio etc, then it will enter sleep mode.

    I have tried restoring plan defaults in Power Options / Advanced Settings - then going back to settings and changing sleep mode to 1 minute for a test, but nothing.


    Also updated Display adapters, even tried rolling them back, but nothing.

    Is this how Widows 10 is supposed to work? Never had this trouble with Windows 7

    I would appreciate any advise or help you can give.

    Hi,

    Thank you for contacting Microsoft Forums.

    For issues with sleep mode and power options follow the steps provided below.

    Run the Power troubleshooter and check.

    Follow the steps to run the troubleshooter:

    • Open Control Panel.
    • Type Troubleshooting in search and click
      Troubleshooting.
    • Now type Power in the search option.
    • Click on Power troubleshooter to run.

    I would suggest you to try updating the Display driver and check if the issue persists. If you already have all the latest drivers from Windows updates, then I would suggest you to visit the computer manufacturer's website, download and install the latest
    drivers in compatibility mode and check.
