Windows 10: Windows 10 (1903 update) Brightness & Color not Full Range

Hello,



So, my gaming PC finally got the 1903 update, and I was excited to try it out, for the PC Games pass. So far it actually seems to have made my PC run more stable. But, my only issue I'm having is that my brightness / gamma seems to be maxed or it may seem like windows is overriding my GPU's setting of Full Range color. I've made sure my GPU drivers are up-to-date, I've updated the PNP driver, I tried messing with the Color Management tool, which only made the gamma change, and it wasn't tolerable.



Basically from my process of elimination, it appears that windows' 1903 on an NVIDIA GTX 1050, it is overriding the color and display settings. Even though the display config is obviously set to use my GPU. I have no on-board display, nothing else to choose other than my 1050. This seems to be specific to 1903. As the previous update version I was on, I had a similar issue when I installed my GPU, but a quick change to Full Range color fixed the issue. But, on this update version, nothing I try seems to work.


I don't expect much help, this is more-or-less a bug report, but I would love some answers other than the fixes I've listed already.



I have tried updating Generic PnP Monitor. I have tried Color Management tool in advanced display settings. I have tried changed the NVIDIA Control Panel settings, they are what they should be, but have no affect.



Just to reiterate, this seems to be a Full Range Color problem not necessarily brightness. Although brightness is the byproduct of limited range color. Thanks for any and all help.

Hi,

Some computers can let Windows automatically adjust screen brightness based on the current lighting conditions.

To manually adjust the screen brightness, we suggest following these troubleshooting steps:

• Click Start, then select Settings.
• Choose System, then select Display.
• Under Brightness and color, move the Change brightness slider to adjust the brightness.

Brightness not working on Windows10.

On my Dell 5559 Windows 10 , brightness not working.

Have tried few steps from youtube videos but did not work.

Sticky Notes color/brightness


I was wondering why we only have the option for 6 basic bright colors as background for the sticky notes, when it is so easy to just put in a color wheel with brightness options.

As a designer who is pretty much used to only working in dark grey themed program
And i love the sticky notes, but having that insanely bright colored sticky note in the corner of my eye (2-3th monitor)
is a pain, atleast in windows 7 you could use "resource hacker" to change it, but with windows 10 that is not possible.

Please give the full range of customization for the notes instead of only 6 colors, i guess its made for tablets in mind, but come on its not like you cant use a color wheel and a brightness / alpha sliders on a tablet...
