    Windows 10 1903 Update won't happen


    Hi,

    For some time my laptop have wanted to update to 1903 automatically but is hindered by something. If there is a driver or software that is blocking the update from happening, why can't Windows tell me as a user what it is?


    Or is there a way for me to find out? In event viewer?


    I have no problem trying to force the update but I know since the 1803 update (which I forced on the machine because before that it was on 1609 or something) that there were several issues that happened. Especially the keyboard shortcuts that is not working as it should. It also took some time with the network card, the camera, the screen light and keyboard light. So, this time I thought that I would not force it and instead try to install when it wanted to. 1809 update came and went. Now with 1903 I think it will pass by as well unless there is something I can do to make it update.


    Maybe my machine is just not compatible with Windows 10 version but I don't understand why. It is an Asus N46V with Nvidia Geforce GT 630M. It was made for Windows 7 so, yes, it is an old machine but it is working just perfectly apart from these Windows 10 updates.

    Windows 10 won´t start any program as Administrator

    Hello. I´m having this issue since installed one of the latest Windows 10 system updates.

    When I try to open any program that requires Administrator confirmation (that screen with the Yes/No question), this dialog won´t appear anymore. The screen background stays darkened and nothing happens.

    1. Using Windows 10 Home (x64)
    2. My microsoft user account is properly checked
    3. I´m the administrator of the PC
    4. Already tried do create another administrator user account - same problem, no success
    5. Cannot start any program/service that requires administrator authorization (not even regedit)
    Please help!

    Windows 10 1903 Update won't happen

    Windows updates won't install!

    I had the same problem when i repaired my O/S, i forgot the steps on how to fixed it, but it is in the microsoft support forum.

    You have to reinstall the windows updater, then restart the updating service.
