Windows 10: Windows 10 1909 bluescreens and now boot only starts to safe boot

My Xiaomi notebook pro started having problems with blue screens on Monday so I went to a pc repair shop on Tuesday. But they coundlt find any problems. So I thought it's probably just a coincidence that my laptop blue screens 4 times in a row.

On Tuesday I worked. but I realised on Wednesday that the laptop bluescreens after around 1.5 minutes. So I tried windows restore. But sadly that only made it worse. Now it doesn't start and only boots to safe boot after trying 2 times.

HD 6870 Bluescreen, cannot boot to Windows

Hello, I'm confused about what happened to my graphics card

It suddenly crashed while I was playing game, and then it cannot boot to Windows. Encountered bluescreen which says something about atikmpag.sys error.

I can still boot to safe mode, and tried to uninstall the driver. Only then I can boot to Windows.

But I can't seem to get the driver installed correctly again. I've used driver sweeper, and CCleaner to kinda make sure nothing left in the registry.

Everytime I installed the driver and restart the computer, the bluescreen returns. Forcing me to uninstall it to make it working (able to boot to windows) again.

It's working if I put another graphics card (I have a spare HD5750) so I just assumed that my HD6870 died because of a hardware issue.

But really, what happened to my HD6870? Is there any chance to fix the problem?

I was having a slow boot issue on my Windows 7 install a little while back. It would take about 30 - 40 extra seconds to boot up for whatever reason.

I would try following these steps, while this didn't solve my issue, it did increase Read/Write to where it should be.

In the end, I had to reinstall my Windows 7 entirely to fix the booting issue. It was taking around 35 seconds to boot, and after the fresh install it takes about 7 seconds to boot.

• Start your PC in safe mode in Windows 10, click this

• Try a cold boot. Shut down your device, remove power cord and battery (if available) and wait for about 20 seconds. Then connect battery and power cord and try booting again.
