Windows 10: Windows 10 1909 Can Not Connect/map drive to Windows 2000 Server SP4

I have a small home network with four Windows 2000 Servers SP4 running. Since moving to Windows 10 1909 I can no longer map a network drive from the servers.


The error I get is:





I have a Windows XP computer on a KVM switch and it logs in fine so I know the password is working.


I set SMBv1 as active in the Windows 10 computer:





I suspect that the issue is that the Windows 10 computer is using NTLMv2 and the Windows 2000 Server is using LM and NTLM thus the password error.


How do I force the Windows 10 computer to use LM and NTLM protocols?


I think it's in REG key HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Lsa\LmCompatibilityLevel . My Windows is lacking a LmCompatibilityLevel entry which I think should be 0.


Before I add it I thought I would check here first.


I'm fully aware of the security issues with Windows 2000 Server. When not in use I just shut them down.

Using SQL Server 2000 sp4 in windows 10

I see that SQL Server 2000 SP4 was initially released for legacy version of Windows i.e. Windows 2000 and XP. Since it was released for an older version of Windows, you might not be able to use it on Windows 10. However, you may still go ahead and
try installing it in compatibility mode and check. Refer the steps mentioned in the article

Make older apps or programs compatible with Windows 10.

Windows 10 1909 Causes Secondary Hard Drive to not be Recognized

Installing the Windows 10 1909 Update causes my secondary hard drive to not be recognized.

Steps to confirm issue:

• Secondary drive not visible in Windows Explorer
• Secondary drive not visible in device manager
• Secondary drive not visible in disk manager

Steps to replicate issue:

• Installing 1909 update

Steps to resolve issue:

• Uninstall 1909 update

Since updates can only be delayed for so long, an actual fix would be appreciated.
