Windows 10: Windows 10 1909 to 20h2 update taking waaaaay too long?

Is it normal for this update to take such a long time? I expected it to take a long time, around 4 hours or so. And for that time, it slowly progressed, like a few percent every 10 or 20 mins. My HDD is a bit old, around 2 or 3 years I think. Now as of writing, after around 7 hours from starting the update, it's stuck at 88%. And before that, it took like an hour or so to progress from 87% to 88%. I was advised by a friend to not shut my laptop down, and have it stay on overnight. Is this normal for this update to take this long?

Windows 10 1909 Causes Secondary Hard Drive to not be Recognized

Installing the Windows 10 1909 Update causes my secondary hard drive to not be recognized.

Steps to confirm issue:

• Secondary drive not visible in Windows Explorer
• Secondary drive not visible in device manager
• Secondary drive not visible in disk manager

Steps to replicate issue:

• Installing 1909 update

Steps to resolve issue:

• Uninstall 1909 update

Since updates can only be delayed for so long, an actual fix would be appreciated.

 

update 20H2 question

I'm running Windows 10 build 1909 and that is running good. Do I REALLY need to update to build 20H2?? I've looked around about 20H2 and can't find a reason that suggests I have to update. Thanks for the help

 

windows 20h2 takes 73 minutes to boot

so when i update to 20h2 it take 73 mins to boot like it shouldnt even take that long somebody help me please im trying to do my school on it
