  1. Windows 10 2004 logon screen slower every day

    I have more computers

On all of those the logon screen is taking longer and longer every day. It's truly annoying to wait on super strong computers minutes to get through the logon screen. It's clearly another windows bug, introduced with the 2004 update.

If I delete the current user and create another one, the login is fast again. But this is inappropriate. Having thousands of settings and configurations, I can't afford the time to reset everything every 2 weeks.

Cheap tricks like sfc /scannow doesn't help obviously. The system has nothing, since it was working quite fine for many months, the problem appeared suddenly after installing the 2004 update. On all 4 computers I have the same trouble.

I could not find any possibility to log the logon screen activity. Is there an official tool? Because all other apps that come up with the search just **** applications offering nothing but an opportunity to spend money for nothing.

This is getting really annoying. At some point the computer start took 3 minutes before deleting the user data. In an earlier version it took several seconds, as expected with decent machines i7 7700K, 16 Gb RAM, SSD, etc.

    :)

  2. Bypass the Logon screen in Windows 10 ver 2004

Since the inception of Win 10 ver 2004 there has been an item changed that no longer allows the Logon screen to be bypassed. In earlier version one could go do this:

Press Windows key + R to open Run.

Type netplwiz into the Run bar and hit Enter.

Select the User account you are using under the User tab.

Check by clicking "Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer" checkbox and click on Apply.

    That no longer works.

Now however that line"Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer" and checkbox is no longer there. Also in "Settings>Accounts>Sign in options ..there
is no longer a choice there that allows bypassing the logon screen.

There was also a change that could be made in policy section that would accomplish this. That also no longer works.

I would like to know if there is a NEW way to accomplish this. I don't care if there may be some method for the OS to automatically put my password in and go through the logon screen. How can I accomplish this in Version
    2004? Thank You!

  4. Windows 10 2004 logon screen slower every day

WinXP - 15 second stall at "Windows is starting up..." screen

LeoJHarris: FOR your reference & others also

I edited step #4 above, putting in the details of the steps needed to @ least CHECK if this setting was used so you could check if it was the cause of your bootup delay!

It makes Windows XP/Server 2003 make the logon turning on of the IP stack FULLY (as it was in Windows 2000, but makes for slower bootup (downside of it)):

    Run gpedit.msc

Thru the left-hand side of its tree items in the left-hand pane, go thru these items:

    Local Computer Policy
    Computer Configuration
    Administrative Templates
    System
    Logon

Then, once you are in the LOGON left-hand-side tree item, go to the right-hand-side pane, & use this setting:

Always wait for the network at computer startup and logon!

*Smile Windows 10 2004 logon screen slower every day :)
