Windows 10: Windows 10 2004 update freezing at 99%

guys, i have tried everything i can find on the forums but still the update is going all the way to 99% and then just hanging. Can anyone help?

Update to 2004

I have tried to update to 2004 using Windows Update I get up to about 70% and go no farther. I down loaded Windows 10 Update Assistant and tried it. Got up to 99% and stalled. Left computer running for hours but never went beyond 99%. Need suggestions
as I am pretty much a novice.
