Windows 10: Windows 10 2004 Update - Network Connection Disconnects When Computer Sleeps

I noticed that my wifi network connection disconnects whenever my computer goes to sleep. Before the Windows 10 2004 update, I could disable this feature under Windows Settings -> Power & Sleep.





However, after the 2004 update, this setting is no longer available and my network disconnects whenever the computer sleeps.




Could you please advise as to where I can find this setting and disable this feature? Thank you.

I suggest checking out the event log in Windows. It's likely going to tell you why (to some degree,) why the network connection was lost. I haven't had this issue with wired connections but, with wireless it has almost always come down to drivers or a strange software bug which boiled down to how the driver operates.

Windows 7 starts from sleep - no network

Hey all.

Since I installed Windows 7 I've had this problem. When I start the computer from sleep I have no network. It's not disconnected, but "No or limited connectivity". When I try to renew the IP adress from cmd nothing happens. No lockups or anything, just nothing. I have to restart the router to get a connection again.

Any ideas why this is happening? I've been running computers with Windows XP, Vista and seven on this router for years now and I've never seen this before, not even with the same NIC.

The router is an ISP supplied unit called EG101-R1.
